Ireland, December 27, 1813. He graduated from Rutgers College, New Brunswick, N.J., in 1834, and from the General Theological Seminary in 1837; officiated successively in Grace Church, New York city, and in Burlington, N.J., under bishop Doane; then became rector of the Church of the Ascension, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from 1842 to 1858; and for the last twenty-three years of his life he was an assistant minister in Trinity Parish, New York city. He died March 25, 1878. See Prot. Episc.
