Y., Feb. 17, 1794; was educated at Union College, class of 1819; then studied at the Princeton Theological Seminary, class of 1822; was licensed to preach immediately after graduation, and performed missionary work until 1825, when he was ordained pastor of the churches at Landisburg and Centre; subsequently became pastor at Middle Tuscarora, Flemington, N. J., and Snow Hill, Md. He died at Philadelphia Oct. 16, 1870.
