Pirame&#8217;, , like a wild ass, i.e. fleet; Sept. (, v. r. Alex. , Vulg. Pharam), the Amoritish king of Jarmuth at the time of  Joshua&#8217;s conquest of Canaan (Jos 10:3). B.C. cir. 1618. With his four confederates he was defeated in the great battle before Gibeon, and fled for refuge to the cave at Makkedah, the entrance to which was closed by Joshua&#8217;s command. At the close of the long day&#8217;s slaughter and pursuit, the five kings were brought from their hiding-place, and hanged upon five trees till sunset, when their bodies were taken down and cast into the cave wherein they had been hid (Jos 10:27) Smith.
