(1) , cc (Exo 28:36; Exo 39:30; Lev 8:9), a plate of gold on the front of the mitre of the high priest. The name seems to have been given because of the radiance of the object. (2) , pah (Exo 39:3; Num 16:38), of plates or sheets of metal produced by hammering. (3) , luah, used for tablets or tables of stone (Exo 24:12, etc.), but in 1Ki 7:36 for the metal plates on the bases of the lavers in the temple.
