See INQUIRY. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> synonymous with No. 1, but, generally speaking, suggesting in a more concrete form the subject of an inquiry, occurs in <span class='bible'>Act 15:2<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Act 18:15<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Act 23:29<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Act 25:19<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Act 26:3<\/span>. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;a word,&#8221; is translated &#8220;question&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Mat 21:24<\/span> (AV, &#8220;thing&#8221;); in <span class='bible'>Mar 11:29<\/span> (RV, marg., &#8220;word&#8221;) and <span class='bible'>Luk 20:3<\/span>, AV, &#8220;one thing:&#8221; there is no word in the original for &#8220;one,&#8221; hence the RV, &#8220;a question.&#8221; <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;a questioning,&#8221; is found in the best texts in <span class='bible'>1Ti 1:4<\/span> (see RV); cp.
