In the New Testament to rail is the translation of , blasphemeo (Mar 15:29; Luk 23:39; railing, 1Ti 6:4; 2Pe 2:11; Jud 1:9). The word loidora, rendered railing in 1Pe 3:9 the King James Version, is in the Revised Version (British and American) reviling, and lodoros, railor, in 1Co 5:11 is in the Revised Version (British and American) reviler.
