Field, in Notes on the Translation of the NT, suggests that the true reading is meleso, the future of melo, &#8220;to be a care, or an object of care&#8221;); in <span class='bible'>Rev 3:2<\/span>, RV, &#8220;were ready&#8221; (some texts have the present tense, as in the AV).
