We thus see the force of Rom 7:9 When the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.<\/p>\n<h4 align='right'><i><b>Fuente: Hastings&#8217; Dictionary of the Bible<\/b><\/i><\/h4>\n<h2>Revive<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to flourish anew&#8221; (ana, &#8220;again, anew,&#8221; thallo, &#8220;to flourish or blossom&#8221;), hence, &#8220;to revive,&#8221; is used metaphorically in <span class='bible'>Phi 4:10<\/span>, RV, &#8220;ye have revived (your thought for me),&#8221; AV, &#8220;(your care of me) hath flourished again.&#8221; In the Sept., <span class='bible'>Psa 28:7<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Eze 17:24<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Hos 8:9<\/span>. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to live again&#8221; (ana, &#8220;and&#8221; zao, &#8220;to live&#8221;), &#8220;to regain life,&#8221; is used of moral &#8220;revival,&#8221; <span class='bible'>Luk 15:24<\/span>, &#8220;is alive again;&#8221; (b) of sin, <span class='bible'>Rom 7:9<\/span>, &#8220;revived,&#8221; lit., &#8220;lived again&#8221; i.e., it sprang into activity, manifesting the evil inherent in it; here sin is personified, by way of contrast to the man himself.
