Although desirous of entering the religious life, she complied with her father &#8216;s wishes and married Lorenzo de&#8217; Ponziani. In 1433  the pope approved her foundation of Oblates, known as Collatines, and after her husband&#8217;s death  (1436 ) she retired to Tor di Specchi, and became superioress. She is famous for her devotion to the angels , who appeared to her frequently and guided her, also for her charity to the poor. Canonized , 1608 . Relics in church of Saint Francesca Romana, Rome, Italy .
