He was educated at New Inn Hall, Oxford, and obtained a fellowship in Corpus Christi College. He became preacher at Witney and Tiverton, and, in 1654, at Westminster Abbey. In 1662 he was ejected for nonconformity, and afterwards had a congregation in Bartholomew Close, London.
