Sergestus<\/h2>\n

in Grecian mythology, was a companion of AEneas, who is named in connection with the sailing match instituted by AEneas. His vessel stuck fast on a rock; but he was nevertheless rewarded with the gift of a female slave from the hero (Virgil, L’Eneid, 1, 510; 5, 121, etc.).<\/p>\n
