See MOVE, STIR. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to shake to and fro,&#8221; is rendered &#8220;to shake&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Mat 28:4<\/span>, AV; <span class='bible'>Heb 12:26<\/span>, AV; <span class='bible'>Rev 6:13<\/span>, AV and RV; see MOVE, No. 3. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to shake off&#8221; (apo, &#8220;from,&#8221; tinasso, &#8220;to shake&#8221;), is used in <span class='bible'>Luk 9:5<\/span>, of dust from the feet; <span class='bible'>Act 28:5<\/span>, of a viper from the hand.
