He was made rector of St. George&#8217;s, Botolph Lane, London, in 1669. In 1680 he received the degree of Doctor of Divinity, and in 1681 was collated to a prebend of St. Paul&#8217;s. He was master of the Temple in 1684, and as the rectory of Therfeld, Hertfordshire. Refusing to take the oaths at the Revolution, he was suspended; but complying. in 1690, he was restored, and became dean of St. Paul&#8217;s in the following year. He died at Hampsteald, June 19, 1707 and was interred in St. Paul&#8217;s Cathedral.
