In <span class='bible'>Jam 5:5<\/span> there is an allusion to <span class='bible'>Jer 12:3<\/span>, the luxurious rich, getting wealth by injustice, spending it on their pleasures, are &#8220;fattening themselves like sheep unconscious of their doom.&#8221; <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;a stroke&#8221; (akin to kopto, &#8220;to strike, to cut&#8221;), signifies &#8220;a smiting in battle,&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Heb 7:1<\/span>.
