In the Sept., <span class='bible'>Psa 89:50<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Lam 5:7<\/span>. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to ill-treat&#8221; (kakos, &#8220;evil,&#8221; and echo, &#8220;to have&#8221;), is used in the Passive Voice in <span class='bible'>Heb 11:37<\/span>, RV, &#8220;evil entreated&#8221; (AV, &#8220;tormented&#8221;); in <span class='bible'>Heb 13:3<\/span>, RV, &#8220;are evil entreated&#8221; (AV, &#8220;suffer adversity&#8221;). <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to endure adversity with,&#8221; is used in <span class='bible'>Heb 11:25<\/span> (sun, &#8220;with,&#8221; and No. 6), RV, &#8220;to be evil entreated with,&#8221; AV, &#8220;to suffer affliction with.&#8221; <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> is rendered &#8220;suffereth long&#8221; in <span class='bible'>1Co 13:4<\/span>. See PATIENCE. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to do wrong, injustice&#8221; (a, negative, dike, &#8220;right&#8221;), is used in the Passive Voice in <span class='bible'>2Pe 2:13<\/span>, RV, &#8220;suffering wrong&#8221; (some texts have komizo, &#8220;to receive,&#8221; AV); there is a play upon words here which may be brought out thus, &#8220;being defrauded (of the wages of fraud),&#8221; a use of the verb illustrated in the papyri.
