As a noun the word is derived from &#8220;tiara,&#8221; and is the rendering of the Heb. p&#8217;er, a &#8220;turban&#8221; or an ornament for the head (<span class='bible'>Ezek. 24:17<\/span>; R.V., &#8220;headtire;&#8221; 24:23).
