He became a pupil and afterwards all assistant of Raphael. On the sacking of Rome he fled to his native city; was afterwards engaged by the Medici in Florence; and returned to Rome in the pontificate of Pius IV, where he died, 1561. He painted The Holy Virgin and Infant Christ, at Udine; and two Scripture Histories, in the archiepiscopal palace, Udine. See Spooner, Biog.
