“dishonor,” is translated “vile” in Rom 1:26<\/span>, RV, marg., “(passions) of dishonor.” See DISHONOR. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

“filthy, dirty,” is used (a) literally, of old shabby clothing, Jam 2:2<\/span>, “vile;” (b) metaphorically, of moral defilement, Rev 22:11<\/span> (in the best texts). In the Sept., Zec 3:3-4<\/span>. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

“evil,” is translated “vile” in Act 17:5<\/span>, RV (AV, “lewd”). See BAD, EVIL. <\/p>\n
