Because Krishna&#8217;s son Anuredh enticed his daughter and was captured. Krishna carried on a war with him, and captured his kingdom, notwithstanding Siva&#8217;s defense, and cut off the giant&#8217;s thousand hands, all but two, with which he is obliged to pay homage.
