See BEAR, No. 7. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to put on,&#8221; is used in the Active Voice in <span class='bible'>Mar 15:17<\/span> (in good mss.; some have No. 3); in <span class='bible'>Luk 8:27<\/span> (Middle Voice), in some texts; the best have No. 3. For <span class='bible'>Luk 16:19<\/span>, see CLOTHE, No. 3. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> is rendered &#8220;to wear&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Luk 8:27<\/span> (Middle Voice; see No. 2). See CLOTHE, No. 2, PUT, No. 26. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to bend, decline,&#8221; is used of a day, &#8220;wearing&#8221; away, <span class='bible'>Luk 9:12<\/span> (in <span class='bible'>Luk 24:29<\/span>, &#8220;is far spent&#8221;).
