He entered as a commoner of Magdalen Hall, Oxford, in 651, where he completed his degrees in arts, and was ordained in 1658; was made rector of St. Mildred-in-the-Poultry, London, in 1673; prebendary of Reymere, in St. Paul&#8217;s, in 1683; became chaplain to William and Mary after the Revolution; was preferred to a prebend of Canterbury, and was Consecrated bishop of Chichester in December, 1696, where he died in 1709.
