He was the author of a Dialogue Concerning Justification by Faith (1610):  God&#8217;s Eternal Purpose (1611):  Complete Christian Dictionary (1612):  Commentary on the Epistle to the Romans (1614):  Receipt against Heresies:  Christ&#8217;s Farewell to Jerusalem (eod.):  Theological Rules (1615), and other works. He was master of the grammar school at Clitheroe, Lancashire, for about forty years, and died in 1813.
