Sabaim), apparently the name of the native place of the sons of Pochereth, who are mentioned in the catalogue of the families of Solomon&#8217;s slaves as having returned from the Captivity with Zerubbabel (Ezr 2:57; Neh 7:59). On the other hand, the compound name Pochereth hat-Tsebam is considered by some to have no reference to place, but to signify the snarer or hunter of roes (Gesenius, Thesaur.  p. 1102 b; Bertheau, Exeq. Handb.
