I know that we live in an era when believing disciples of the lowly, humble Nazarene have more of this world\u2019s goods and comforts than any other generation in history. These things conspire to make this a dangerous time for God\u2019s people.\u2026<\/p>\n
Moses turned his back on the pleasures and treasures of Egypt. Would we, could we turn our backs on the cash, the comforts, the conveniences we have in order to be the people of God?\u2026<\/p>\n
I confess that I feel a compulsion to cry out in prayer: \u201cMy Lord, I have so many earthly treasures! I must continually give thanks to Thee, my God, for Thy blessings. But I know that I am going to have to leave these things, to give them all up some day. Therefore, I do deliberately choose to earnestly seek spiritual treasures, putting them above all else. They are the only treasures that will not perish.\u201d<\/p>\n
