There must be expectation. We\u2019ve got to point up our prayers. I have said it before and repeat it, that one of the greatest snares in praying is to pray vaguely. I used to go out rifle shooting in the state of Pennsylvania. I still like to when I get out that way. I used to enjoy using a big gun, like an eight millimeter or a 30\u201330, because the thing would go \u201cBoom!\u201d and the smoke would fly and I\u2019d almost fall over and I felt really big. But if I\u2019d been shooting at something, I was red-faced because I\u2019d usually miss it.<\/p>\n
And when a man prays vaguely, he makes a big boom and others say, \u201cOh, he is a praying man.\u201d But what is he praying about? Has God heard his prayer, or is he just shooting at a cloud? How do you know if he hits it or not? He is shooting at the side of a barn.<\/p>\n
