A bit of Freud, a dash of Emile Coul\u00e9, a lot of watered-down humanism, tender chunks of Emersonian transcendentalism, auto-suggestion \u00e0 la Dale Carnegie, plenty of hopefulness and religious sentimentality, but nothing hard and sharp and specific. Nothing of the either\/or of Christ and Peter and Paul. None of the \u201cWho is on the Lord\u2019s side\u201d (Exodus 32:26, KJV) of Moses, or the \u201cChoose for yourselves this day whom you will serve\u201d (Joshua 24:15) of Joshua: just tender pleading to \u201ctake Jesus and let Him solve your problems.\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>The notion is now pretty well disseminated throughout the ranks of current evangelicalism that love is really all that matters and for that reason we ought to receive everyone whose intention is right, regardless of his doctrinal position, granted of course that he is ready to read the Scriptures, trust Jesus and pray.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'>Exodus 32:26; Deuteronomy 10:12; Joshua 24:14\u201315; 1 Kings 18:21<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'><i>God Tells the Man Who Cares,<\/i> 60, 61.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have listened to certain speakers and have recognized the ingredients that went to make up their teachings.
