Does it expressly forbid the plaiting of the hair, the wearing of gold and the putting on of fine clothes? This is a question often asked.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Let\u2019s say \u201cyes\u201d and then go on from there and see where we stand.\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Does the Bible say, then, that a woman must not be adorned with braided hair?<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>If we say, \u201cYes, that\u2019s what it means\u201d\u2014that rules out the braiding of your hair.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>The advice continues: \u201cLet it not be the wearing of gold.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Does that mean that gold can never be worn in any way by a Christian woman?<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>We will agree for the moment and say that gold is out!<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>\u201cNor the putting on of fine clothes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Now, wait a minute! We are in trouble with our reasoning here, because this certainly does not mean that the woman is not to put on any nice clothes.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>If it doesn\u2019t mean a strict ban on fixing the hair or wearing of gold or putting on of fine clothes, what does it mean?<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>It means the true attractiveness of the person is not outward but inward!
