Many modern thinkers would disagree with that statement, but Paul\u2019s phrase, \u201cwhat may be known about God,\u201d leaves no room for doubt or probability. He is emphatic: \u201cwhat may be known of God is plain to them.\u201d God\u2019s revelation of Himself is not obscure. It is clear.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'><b><i>The clarity of God\u2019s revelation<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>It is not as if God hid difficult, esoteric clues in various corners and crannies of the universe so that only astute theologians or intellectual geniuses who pursue truth ruthlessly will ever be able to uncover them.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>We are not like Diogenes who searched the dark corner of ancient Athens with a lamp trying to find an honest man. Nor are we seeking to break through some massive cosmic barrier to catch one faint clue of Divine existence. Rather, God has clearly manifested Himself to mankind, and through His creation has displayed His existence and His power.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'><b><i>Man is without excuse<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>There is a maxim in teaching which states that if the student hasn\u2019t learned, the teacher hasn\u2019t taught. Here God is the Supreme Teacher. He has clearly and personally revealed Himself to mankind, so we cannot fault Him for any lack of instruction. God not only makes knowledge of Himself available (somewhat as a professor might set aside specific works on a reserve shelf for his students), but God also shows this revelation to man. It becomes absolutely clear in verse 20: \u201c<i>For since the creation of the world God\u2019s invisible qualities<\/i>\u2014<i>his eternal power and divine nature<\/i>\u2014<i>have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>No human being, regardless of race, personality, class, environment, or religion will be able to stand before God and claim, \u201cI never knew You existed. I would have believed if I had known.\u201d There are no acceptable excuses on judgment day.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'><b>CORAM DEO<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'>Today, ask the Holy Spirit to allow you to see the Author\u2019s signature on His cosmic works and in the everyday occurrences of your life.
