When I first enrolled at the Free University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, one of the forms I was required to fill out included questions like: What station in life is your father? What class are you from? As an American, there wasn\u2019t much I could say!<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Then after I registered, I was given a booklet that informed the students of the precise titles of all of the faculty and staff, and how each was to be addressed. Some of the teachers were to be addressed in writing as \u201cThe Well Born So-and-So,\u201d while others were \u201cHighly Born\u201d and a few were even \u201cVery Highly Born.\u201d Moreover, educational credentials had to be included, such as \u201cThe Learned So-and-So,\u201d and \u201cHighly Learned,\u201d and \u201cVery Highly Learned.\u201d Additionally, some were ranked as \u201cWorthy,\u201d etc. Thus, if I wrote a letter to my professor, I was to address it to The Very Highly Born, Very Highly Learned, Very Highly Worthy, Professor Doctor Pastor So-and-So\u2014and woe betide if I left one of those titles out!<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>I thought this was ridiculous, until I got a letter addressed to \u201cMister Sproul.\u201d I was indignant! It was like getting a letter addressed to \u201cOccupant.\u201d I had become accustomed to living in a society where such honors were taken seriously.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Jesus is the most titled person in human history. If you study the New Testament you will find literally hundreds of titles used to describe Him. Last week we only looked at four of these (Son of Man, Lord, Christ, the Word). But Jesus is also the Son of David, the Root of Jesse, the Son of God, the Lion of Judah, the Lamb of God, our Righteousness, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, Suffering Servant, Savior, Lily of the Valley, Rose of Sharon, Great High Priest, Mercy Seat, etc. There is no limit to the names and titles that God and the universe will sing to Jesus Christ!<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=center style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;   text-align:center;line-height:normal'><b>CORAM DEO<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=center style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;   text-align:center;line-height:normal'>1 Chronicles 23\u201325<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=center style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;   text-align:center;line-height:normal'>John 11:1\u201316<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:   normal'>The   diverse names and titles for the Godhead can be used in prayer to your   particular need.
