{"id":11556,"date":"2016-08-17T01:29:14","date_gmt":"2016-08-17T06:29:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/october-bible-studies\/"},"modified":"2016-08-17T01:29:14","modified_gmt":"2016-08-17T06:29:14","slug":"october-bible-studies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/october-bible-studies\/","title":{"rendered":"OCTOBER BIBLE STUDIES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>In Hebrew the first letters of the titles <i>Job, Proverbs,<\/i> and <i>Psalms<\/i> spell the word <i>truth.<\/i> For this reason, these three major books of the wisdom literature were often referred to as the \u201cbooks of truth.\u201d These books of wisdom and truth help us to relate all areas of life to God\u2019s providential supervision and care.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>This month we will complete our survey of Job begun last month. Then we will move on to a brief consideration of the Psalms (largely based on the teaching of Art Lindsley at the Ligonier Valley Study Center) followed by a short overview of Proverbs (written by Frederic Putnam).<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>We will end the month by returning to R. C.\u2019s teaching as we begin a study of Ecclesiastes, the most directly philosophical book in Scripture.
