As the wealthy oil tycoon lay on his deathbed, his pastor talked of God\u2019s healing power. \u201cPastor,\u201d he gasped, \u201cif God heals me, I\u2019ll give the church a million dollars.\u201d Miraculously, the man revived and within a few short weeks was out of the hospital. <\/p>\n
One day, several months later, he and the pastor chatted on the sidewalk in front of a hardware store. \u201cYou know,\u201d the pastor said, \u201cwhen you were in the hospital dying, you promised to give the church a million dollars if you got well. We haven\u2019t got it yet.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cDid I say that?\u201d the tycoon asked. \u201cI guess that goes to show how sick I really was!\u201d <\/p>\n
