A newly promoted Army colonel moved into his new and impressive office. As he sat behind his new big desk, a private knocked at his door. \u201cJust a minute,\u201d the colonel said, \u201cI\u2019m on the phone.\u201d He picked up the phone and said loudly, \u201cYes, sir, General, I\u2019ll call the President this afternoon. No, sir, I won\u2019t forget.\u201d Then he hung up the phone and told the private to come in. \u201cWhat can I help you with?\u201d the colonel asked. \u201cWell, sir,\u201d the private replied, \u201cI\u2019ve come to hook up your phone.\u201d1199<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>At twenty, we worry about what people think about us.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>At forty, we don\u2019t care what people think about us.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>At sixty, we find out that people haven\u2019t been thinking about us at all. 1200<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>\u201cI have often wondered how it is that every man sets less value on his own opinion of himself than on the opinion of others. So much more respect have we to what our neighbors think of us than to what we think of ourselves\u201d (Marcus Aurelius).1201<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>The famous actor Peter Sellers, who played in the \u201cPink Panther\u201d movies, once said he lacked a personality. \u201cAs far as I\u2019m aware, I\u2019m nothing,\u201d he once said. \u201cI have no personality of my own whatsoever. I have no character to offer the public.
