They can\u2019t enjoy the journey. They are always looking ahead to the next passage as the time they will take a vacation, enjoy one another, or do something special together.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>We want to have goals but not at the expense of missing the moment. We need destinations in life but not at the risk of missing the journey. Couples who can\u2019t enjoy the journey always find themselves sacrificing relationships for goals and intimacy for quick fixes. Enjoying the journey is like a gallery of portraits that one can enjoy and ponder. Missing the journey is like trying to watch a movie on fast forward and really enjoying it. It\u2019s impossible.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Try this: Stop speeding through life like you\u2019re driving down an interstate. Take an alternate route. Pull off along the shoulder and take a walk among the wildflowers. Enjoy the daily walk of marriage.
