My kids are starting off where I left off. They have so much more now than we had when we started in marriage. It\u2019s just not fair,\u201d protested the selfish parents.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>A bumper sticker common to the area we live in reads, \u201cI\u2019m spending my kids\u2019 inheritance.\u201d How sad. Why would we want to bankrupt the next generation?<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>We are blessed to be a blessing. Of course, we want our children to start off better than we did. We have made progress through the years. Our desire is to launch them into a new level of spiritual and material prosperity. We leave our children \u2026<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'>A spiritual inheritance of household salvation in which each successive generation knows Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'>A relational inheritance for covenant marriage and godly parenting.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'>A communal inheritance of faith for being a member of the body of Christ.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'>A material inheritance not just of wealth but of how to create wealth and sow it into the work of God\u2019s kingdom.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'>A parental inheritance which has broken generational curses and initiated generations of blessing.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'>A stewardship inheritance so that our children know how to serve Christ and others while being stewards, not possessors, of all the provisions He has given them.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Try this: With your spouse, sit down and write the epitaph on your memorial for which you would like your children to remember you.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'><i>A good man leaves an inheritance<br \/> to his children\u2019s children.<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=right style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:right;line-height:normal'>Prov. 13:22<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cI can\u2019t believe it.
