Constantly bringing up the past will continue to bring strife and conflict into your marriage. When you rehearse the past, you become its slave. Sink your mate\u2019s past mistakes into a sea of forgetfulness, and post a \u201cNo Fishing\u201d sign there. Let go of the past so you can walk into God\u2019s future for your marriage.<\/p>\n
God determines your future. Let Him lead you into new attitudes, words and behaviors toward each other. The past words of death must die. The past destructive actions must cease. The past hurtful attitudes must perish. It\u2019s time for God\u2019s new ways in your marriage. Try this: Agree never to bring up past mistakes and failures in your discussions. If one of you should do so, develop a sign between the two of you that immediately reminds you to stop talking about the past.<\/p>\n
Our heavenly Father will forgive you if you forgive those who sin against you.<\/i><\/p>\n
