We are always growing and learning. How does that happen?<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Learn from each other. My wife teaches me much about marriage, herself, family, living in the world and walking with Christ. Learn from your spouse.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Study the Word. The Holy Spirit teaches us all truth through Scripture. Study the Word together at home and at church.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Listen to others. Those around us have much wisdom and experience in marriage. Find a small group of couples who want to grow in their marriages. Form a life group, cell group or other small group study to learn together.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Read good books. An abundance of excellent materials have been written on marriage. Read Christian books aloud to each other.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Get help when you need it. At times, we may need to be teachable in counseling. There\u2019s nothing wrong with working through your problems with another skilled person.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Develop a teachable spirit. Put aside pride. Ask questions. Remember that you are a student, a disciple for a lifetime. As we learn together, our marriages become deeper and more intimate. Our relationships with God also deepen.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Try this: Find a good Christian book on marriage. Read it to each other. Discuss it together. Learn and grow as a couple.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'><i>Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=right style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:right;line-height:normal'>2 Tim. 2:15<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>None of us ever arrives in marriage.
