P<\/b>raying for your spouse is the most effective action you can take to help your mate grow spiritually and relationally. So, how do we pray for a spouse?<\/p>\n
Agreement.<\/b> Pray for your mate\u2019s needs. Keep a prayer list. Regularly pray through that needs list that your spouse has.<\/p>\n
Intercession.<\/b> Pray with your spouse. Agree in prayer for whatever is on your hearts.<\/p>\n
Praise and Thanksgiving.<\/b> Give thanks. Praise and thank God for all that your spouse is and does. Give thanks for both gifts and talents.<\/p>\n
Protection.<\/b> Place a hedge around your spouse (Job 1:10). Pray God\u2019s protection around your spouse. Cover your mate with the protecting blood of Jesus Christ so as to nullify every attack of any enemy.<\/p>\n
Confession.<\/b> Confess and repent. If there are any sins that you both have committed as one flesh, go to God confessing and repenting of those sins. If we confess, God promises to forgive (1 John 1:9).<\/p>\n
Of all that you can spiritually give your mate, prayer is the greatest gift. Pray without ceasing for your mate and watch God change both of you for the better. Try this: Pray through the prayers suggested above daily. Keep a prayer journal recording both what you prayed and how God answered your prayers.<\/p>\n
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.<\/i><\/p>\n
