What this deluded father didn\u2019t realize was that he was bragging about his child having a curse.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>We wouldn\u2019t boast about our child having an addiction like drugs or pornography, so why would we boast about his being cursed with debt?<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Being cursed with debt means that our child is a slave to another master besides God. Debtors determine how much or how little the child must work to pay off the debt.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>The focus becomes getting money to pay the debt instead of using money to bless others.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>The Bible clearly teaches that we are to be lenders, not borrowers. Therefore, we must teach our children how to manage money so they have it to lend.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Today\u2019s market economy says to gather up as much credit you can and live to the max in every area. After all, you can pay for today\u2019s pleasure at reduced interest for the first six months. What they don\u2019t say is that when you fall into that trap, you stand in danger of paying for life\u2019s pleasures for life.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>How do you handle money?
