She\u2019s not pleased with anything I do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Too often, parents seek to please their children instead of pleasing God. It\u2019s time to wake up and realize that living to please other people, even your children, is not what life is about.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Live to please God. \u201cHow?\u201d you ask. By obeying His commands, not your child\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Children are basically self-centered. As babies, they cry out for attention to be fed, held, cleaned up, and comforted. They don\u2019t know enough to take care of themselves, so they depend on you, the parent.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Tragically, many parents continue to live in the \u201cplease me\u201d mode of infant-rearing when their children are much older. Sadly, these parents live their lives never blessing their seed because they\u2019ve used everything to try and please them.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Pleasing God means that we will have a balanced approach to blessing our children. The child will be loved beyond measure and valued as a special gift from God, which alone will bless them.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Pleasing God means that parents will leave a spiritual heritage for their children that cannot be taken away. Blessing your children means calling on the One in whom you place your trust to enrich their lives.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=center style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:center;line-height:normal'><i>Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you.
