Now, one could say, \u201cWell, why are people getting all upset about a piece of burning cloth?\u201d The reason has to do with what the cloth represents. People were upset because that cloth, Old Glory, represents our country. In fact, it became a Supreme Court issue. When a person burns the flag, they are in effect defaming the nation by defaming a symbol. A burning cloth represents a burning country. It\u2019s the principle of the matter.<\/p>\n
When you are destructive in your own sinful life and it rubs off on other people, you are causing a division in the body because you are drawing people away from Christ and toward your sin.651<\/p>\n
