Her mother tried to motivate her to pray by putting her on a guilt trip. \u201cYou have so much to be thankful for. Think of all the children who don\u2019t have food, don\u2019t have clothes, or don\u2019t have parents like you.\u201d The girl replied, \u201cWell, then, they are the ones who need to pray.\u201d1014<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'>[Children, Training; Prayer]<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'>Eph. 6:18; Col. 4:2<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal'>THERE are many parents who have ungrateful children. It is very frustrating. Parents spend so much time working to provide for their children and to give to them so much at no cost to those children. Free food, free housing, free clothes, free spending money, free tennis shoes, and free gas. Thinking about it will make a mom or dad mad! Parents do all this because they love them. However, most kids don\u2019t recognize orappreciate the free gifts, they only see the restrictions and want to complain.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>\u201cHow come I can\u2019t go?\u201d \u201cHow come I can\u2019t stay out later?\u201d \u201cHow come I can\u2019t have it?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent: 18.0pt;line-height:normal'>Anyone who understands the peril of living with an ungrateful teenager understands how God feels about his own ungrateful kids.
