But when that man takes his place on the cross with Jesus Christ once and for all, and commends his spirit to God, lets go of everything and ceases to defend himself\u2014sure, he has died, but there is a resurrection that follows!1<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=center style='margin-bottom:9.0pt;text-align:center; line-height:normal'>\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:9.0pt;line-height:normal'>If Jesus Christ is not controlling all of me, the chances are very good that He is not controlling any of me.2<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=center style='margin-bottom:9.0pt;text-align:center; line-height:normal'>\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:9.0pt;line-height:normal'>The man who surrenders to Christ exchanges a cruel slave driver for a kind and gentle Master, whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light.3<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=center style='margin-bottom:9.0pt;text-align:center; line-height:normal'>\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:9.0pt;line-height:normal'>I wonder how many Christians in our day have truly and completely abandoned themselves to Jesus Christ as their Lord. We are very busy telling people to \u201c<i>accept<\/i> Christ\u201d\u2014and that seems to be the only word we are using. We arrange a painless acceptance4<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=center style='margin-bottom:9.0pt;text-align:center; line-height:normal'>\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:9.0pt;line-height:normal'>We are telling people that the easiest thing in the world is to <i>accept<\/i> Jesus Christ, and I wonder what has happened to our Christian theology, which no longer contains any hint of what it should mean to be completely and utterly abandoned to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.5<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=center style='margin-bottom:9.0pt;text-align:center; line-height:normal'>\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:9.0pt;line-height:normal'>The devoted and committed person who takes the cross and follows the Lord does not ask what the consequences will be, neither does he argue about God\u2019s plan and God\u2019s wisdom.6<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=center style='margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:center;line-height:normal'><b><i>B<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man who is always on the cross, just piece after piece, cannot be happy in that process.
