(March 14, 1879\u2013April 18, 1955), was a German-born American theoretical physicist. He developed the theory of relativity, which was the basis for the application of atomic energy. In 1921, Albert Einstein was the recipient of the Nobel Prize, and in 1952 he was offered the position of President of Israel, but turned it down.<\/p>\n
