Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., was the grandson of Henry Cabot Lodge (1850\u20131924), the U.S. Senator from Massachusetts who vigorously opposed President Woodrow Wilson\u2019s plan for a League of Nations after World War I. He was also the great-great-grandson of George Cabot (1752\u20131823), the member of the Provincial Congress of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Constitutional Convention, and a U.S. Senator.<\/p>\n
