I. What is the Gospel? It is the good news of-<\/p>\n
1. The Love of God (Joh_3:16). In giving His Son.<\/p>\n
2. The Death and Resurrection of Christ. His atonement for sin, and acceptance by God.<\/p>\n
3. The Gift of the Holy Spirit. The witness and the indweller.<\/p>\n
4. The Coming Kingdom of Glory. He shall reign.<\/p>\n
II. What is Repentance? It implies a change of mind-<\/p>\n
1. Toward God. Love, instead of slavish fear.<\/p>\n
2. Toward Christ. Faith, instead of doubt.<\/p>\n
3. Toward Sin. Hate, instead of delight.<\/p>\n
4. Toward Self. Loathing, instead of pride.<\/p>\n
III. Why Should we Repent?<\/p>\n
1. Because it is a great necessity (Luk_13:3).<\/p>\n
2. Because Christ commands it.<\/p>\n
3. Because the kingdom of God is at hand.<\/p>\n
4. Because He is exalted to give it (Act_5:31).<\/p>\n
