The "basilisk," or little king, is a fabulous serpent having a crown on its head, whose breath and look were supposed to be fatal. Sin in the heart, when loved and obeyed, is a crowned serpent whose look and breath is withering and killing. "Sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death" (Jam_1:15).<\/p>\n
