THE TREE OF LIFE.<\/p>\n
The "bread-fruit tree" grows in the South Sea Islands. The natives roast the produce of it, which is a good substitute for bread. This tree is God’s provision for them. For this bread they toil not, it is the gift of God. Behold the Cross of Christ, the divinely given "bread-fruit tree" for a perishing world. "He that eateth of this bread shall live for ever" (Joh_6:58).<\/p>\n
