The Two Covenants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Two Covenants<\/p>\n<p>Galatianism was a mixture of Law and of Grace.<\/p>\n<p>The Epistle to the Galatians clearly distinguishes between Law and Grace, and seeks to correct the errors of Galatianism.<\/p>\n<p>The message is one which is greatly needed. There are so many Christians who desire to be under the Law, yet when they place themselves under Law, they place themselves under the curse.<\/p>\n<p>We suggest the following parallelism, setting forth the two covenants, illustrated in Abraham.<\/p>\n<p>THE FIRST COVENANT\tTHE SECOND COVENANT\t<\/p>\n<p>Law\tGrace\t<\/p>\n<p>Moses\tChrist\t<\/p>\n<p>Sinai\tJerusalem (from above)\t<\/p>\n<p>Ishmael\tIsaac\t<\/p>\n<p>Son of Bond woman\tSon of Free woman\t<\/p>\n<p>Flesh\tSpirit\t<\/p>\n<p>Cannot justify\tJustifies\t<\/p>\n<p>Worketh wrath\tWorketh peace\t<\/p>\n<p>Shuts every mouth\tOpens every mouth with praise\t<\/p>\n<p>Kills\tMakes alive\t<\/p>\n<p>Brings knowledge of sin\tBrings knowledge of life\t<\/p>\n<p>Separates from God\tBrings nigh to God\t<\/p>\n<p>Condemnation\tAcceptance\t<\/p>\n<p>Condemns the best\tJustifies the worst\t<\/p>\n<p>The first covenant is likened unto Hagar, the bond-maid, and to her son Ishmael, born after the flesh&#8211;this covenant is Mount Sinai in Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>The second covenant is likened unto Sarah, the freewoman and to her son Isaac, born after the promise,&#8211;this covenant is Jerusalem, which is from above.<\/p>\n<p>Autor: R.E.
