The Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ–His Objective<\/p>\n
"That ye through His poverty might be rich" (2Co_8:9).<\/p>\n
This blessed word brings an additional word besides Joh_3:16, where God so loved that men should not perish, but have everlasting life. Here there is more than life, there are "riches" forever more.<\/p>\n
Missionaries may become poor but they are rich. Missionaries go forth to lift a people bound in sin to heights of eternal glories in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n
We preach "salvation from death and hell," but we preach more. We preach "eternal life" "forever with the Lord," but we preach more. We also preach "that in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus".<\/p>\n
Thus we pray that the "grace of the Lord Jesus Christ" may be with your spirits, both in "becoming poor," and also in "making many rich."<\/p>\n
We are in a wonderful business, calling men from darkness into light, and from the power of Satan unto God; leading men and women into an heirship with Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n
