Or God&#8217;s Promise of Aid<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world&quot; (Mat_28:20).<\/p>\n<p>Let us recapitulate once more:<\/p>\n<p>First, there was the cry of &quot;Woe&quot; of acknowledged sin.<\/p>\n<p>Then the response was &quot;Lo&quot; of cleansing.<\/p>\n<p>Then God&#8217;s question, &quot;Who will go&quot;?<\/p>\n<p>Then God&#8217;s command&#8211;&quot;Go.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>And now there is another &quot;Lo!&quot;<\/p>\n<p>The first &quot;Lo&quot; was the &quot;lo&quot; of cleansing. &quot;Lo, * * thine iniquity is gone&quot;. This is the &quot;lo&quot; of assurance. &quot;Lo, I am with you alway&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>When Christ gave this promise to His disciples, He meant far more than to express His sympathy with His workers. He meant more than to say: &quot;I will think of you, and I will watch over you.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Our Lord was about to ascend to the Father&#8217;s right hand, far above all principalities and powers. Knowing fully what all of this meant, He said to His disciples, &quot;All power (authority) is given unto Me; * * Go * * and, lo, I am with you&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>Christ seemed to say, &quot;I am a conqueror: you shall be led in the train of My triumph.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Christ seemed to say; &quot;I am clothed with all authority: you need have no fear of their faces. I will link My omnipotence to your impotence; I will clothe your nothing-ness with My almightiness; I will supply your weakness with the might of My power.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador for Christ does not need to be afraid. God will make him a stone wall, an iron pillar, and a fenced city.<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador to the nations of this world has behind him the power of the country he represents. The ambassador from Heaven has behind him the power of God.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Keep step with the Master, whatever betide;<\/p>\n<p>Though dark be the pathway, keep close to your Guide.<\/p>\n<p>While foes are alluring, and danger is near,<\/p>\n<p>When walking with Jesus, you&#8217;ve nothing to fear.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Keep step with the Master, wherever you go;<\/p>\n<p>Through darkness and shadow the way He will show,<\/p>\n<p>The light of His presence your path will illume,<\/p>\n<p>And make all the desert a garden of bloom.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Keep step with the Master; nor halt by the way;<\/p>\n<p>Whate&#8217;er He commands you, oh, haste to obey!<\/p>\n<p>Arise at His bidding, press on in His might;<\/p>\n<p>While walking with Jesus, you&#8217;re sure to be right.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Autor: R.E.
